Norm and Guidelines

Since the network is ‘designed’ for all staff, everyone must feel comfortable to make suggestions, throw out ideas on what ever topics are being discussed.

• Content and behaviour is important to be defined

• Safety in respect of content - never share sensitive information over the
internet as information is not safe guarded.

• Participants should not be fired/ disciplined over the network for comments
provided. Not the forum.

• When in doubt the organizational rules would apply

• Culture would be respected as this network crosses various islands, different
cultures

• Participants would be accountable especially if they are requested to
complete task. (easy check online for assigned responsibilities and promised
deadlines).

• No time wasting use short, sweet to the point statement.

• Hopefully the group can thrive under minimal rules people will apply company
policies and work ethics as guidelines

• This group is closed not public.

• Courtesy and protocol must be recognised for each country the best advice is
from the ambassadors themselves the staff of the country unit.

Assessment

Assessment

Knowledge of Self
I value people’s opinions, generally patient however time wasters irritate me. Quality not quantity is important. New topics do not scare me able to switch gears at the last moment. Consider myself objective. Have no problem with persons with a different opinion however conflicts/arguments I tend to avoid.

Knowledge base
I have been a facilitator in face to face group discussions, new to online facilitation. I have on numerous occasions provided training on computer technology to others. Not an expert on all topics but uses the internet as my personal library.

Facilitation Skills
I am an effective listener with presentation skills. Will have to work on effective feedback skills and other facilitation skills to conduct a successful network.

Technology Skills
I am familiar with most listed, blogs were new to me.

Online Interaction Experience
Groups that I have experience with are chat and training groups (CNET networks)

Sorry for the delay
